Our next meeting is on Monday 28th October, 7.30pm, in the St Andrew Hall. The speaker is Irene McLellan on Journeying Together, Empowering Teenage Mothers in Zambia. This is one of the Guild Projects we are supporting this session. All welcome.
Teas & Tots is off for the Edinburgh October school holidays (15 & 22 October) and returns on 29 October. We meet weekly, during term-time, on a Tuesday from 9:30-11:30am. Adults enjoy coffee, cakes, and conversation, while children play, ending with a story and song time.
Exploring the God Question
In six half hour episodes, world renowned contributors from both sides of the science/God debate unpack the evidence found in the Cosmos, Life and Evolution and the hidden depths of Mind and Consciousness.
A small group from Queensferry Parish Church piloted the use of the DVD and study guide material last Spring. They found it to be an excellent stimulant of discussion both for Christians and non-Christians (we had both categories within the pilot ...group). They are about to run another series under the auspices of QPC.
So this message is simply to say that if you happen to know of anyone who might be interested in finding out more, please offer them this website link.
Notification of intimations should be with the church office by the Thursday prior to the Sunday Service. Either drop by any morning between 10 and 12 noon (except Tuesday) or email Esther at firstname.lastname@example.org (A master file of the weekly intimations is kept at the West door so the members of the congregation who may have been absent can keep themselves up to date with what is happening).
Please remember to let the Pastoral Team know of those in the Parish who are unable to come to church because of age, disability, or who have a special need at any time such as bereavement, illness etc and would appreciate a visit. If you would like to join the team, please speak to the minister or Sandra Mackay.
